The Daiwa Saltiga SK Jig is a versatile and extremely effective jig designed according to Japanese jigging principles. This is one of our favorites at Outside Travels and a lure we frequently use on our fishing trips abroad when we want to cover the entire water column and trigger strikes from strong predatory fish.

The jig was originally developed for slow jigging but also works very well as a speed jig. Its well-balanced body ensures that the jig maintains stability even with faster retrieves and delivers clear kicks and movements through the water. Perfect for when fish prefer more speed or when you quickly need to cover larger areas.

During the sinking phase, the Saltiga SK Jig moves with rotation, flutter, and glide, imitating an injured baitfish. This irregular movement is often what entices even cautious fish to strike. When retrieving, a simple crank is enough to bring the jig to life and make it aggressively work its way through the entire water column.

The Saltiga SK Jig is a very effective choice for tropical fishing for species like GT, amberjack, and dogtooth tuna, but also works excellently for deeper fishing for halibut and cod, for example.

The Orange Gold color provides a strong contrast and clear silhouette, especially effective in deeper waters, murkier conditions, or when fish respond to warm and distinct colors.
